Unfortunately not all smaller towns show up (I entered “Forks”, as in the super rainy city in the Olympic Rainforest, but it only bounced me to Washington D.C. It’s easy to go back in and change the city. If you aren’t aware of this option, check out the top right of your Gmail screen (to get an account go to ) and click on “settings” then on the far right “themes” and then click on “tree” and at the bottom you can enter whatever city you’d like. And yes, it makes me a little sad to reflect on how it’s a tad pathetic, chasing virtual rainstorms. The other day it was clear, so I looked up the doppler radar to see where it was raining–bingo Boston! I got a nice rainy background instantly. So cute! Unfortunately the image is static, but it updates regularly so it’s accurate. The background of my email account shows snow coming down, gray clouds, and snow accumulating on the ledge of my inbox. I live in Santa Monica, but have it set right now to Issaquah, WA (where my mother lives) because it’s snowing. Unfortunately, it is only available on Android 10 at the time of entry.
